Default Advanced Open Water License and some fishies too.

Wife made me do it! So back in 1975 I got my SCUBA license (PADI) though t the Chicago Park District. I was 14 years old!

And now when I'ma gonna turn 59 years old I get my Advanced Open Water SCUBA license. I guess the phrase "you never stop learning" kinda fits huh! Go figure! Wifey got into doing SCUBA, she got her license a bit ago, and she signed us up for the Advanced license.

It's all wifey's fault. I guarantee I would not have done it without her.

Key Largo. We had pulled the 5th wheel, brought the doggies, and stayed at Pennekamp. Good time for sure. Thought I'd share.

I got my Open Water License when I was stationed in Okinawa in the 80’s. I returned stateside and dove John Pennicamp also. Is the cross still there?

Cool post. I got certified in Roosevelt Road Puerto Rico around 1974 for snorkeling and shallow water scuba but never pursued it any farther. Puerto Rico has some awesome coral reefs and some beautiful aquatic species... but I must say I never really got fully adjusted to seeing sharks, big manta rays, barracuda and several other much bigger than me carnivorous things. It's awesome that you and the Mrs. can do such things together.

As a matter a fact, I did use it, and I did catch more than the folks around me. I turned some of them on to it, but just towards the end of the trip! doh
