That ain't good...LOL. Ran into one of those in a small pocket at VFW Lake one year in my kayak......it was chock full too......thankfully like you I got away unscathed.

I spend a lot of time around overhanging trees and think of myself as pretty observant. This past Sunday I almost ran into one of these twice. Both were in the end of a maple branch and keep in mind that the one in the pic is virtually unoccupied compared to the first one. When I saw that one, all I wanted to do is make tracks and survive unscathed. Point to all this is to pay a little closer attention to what you’ve been around for a while. You just might have some new neighbors. The only place I could have gotten away from these guys? You guessed it, swimmin! And it happened so quick that whatever was in my pockets would have been a swimmin too. Just the phone would have made that hurt. Heads Up Y’all.
