A break line is any change in bottom structure: ledges, river channels, etc.
What is a break line that will hold fish. What part of lake is most likely to have a break line?

Generally, break lines are the ledges where there are distinct changes in elevations, such as river ledges... I use that term to describe an area where there is ten FOW falling off into sixteen, as an example... It could just as easily be five into ten, or anywhere there is a reasonable amount of difference that continues for a stretch...

One other area that bass fishermen call the break is the shore area of the grass line, where the water is too deep to grow the vegatation
