Gill Maggots Are a parasite that is getting into the gills of stripers on Lake Norman and many other lakes.They are in Smith Mountain Lake ,and Kerr and others.Do the stripers in Wateree have this problem.?They look like little pieces of rice in the mouth and gills.

from all em fish from wateree, i seen maby 2 with signs of the start of maggots. ive seen it on em norman stripers. its a nasty site, but it dont hurt eating the fish. gill maggots gotta run their course. give it a few more years and you wont see any more maggots,
