    Default Gray crappie eggs


    A lot of the crappie we caught today had eggs that were a pale grayish color. Any ideas why. I've seen this before but not this much.

    That coloration tends to make me think the eggs are being absorbed by the female, because the conditions for spawning are no longer viable.
