    Default Crappie Nibbles

Has anyone noticed if color matters with the crappie nibbles? I have never used them and going to experiment with them this year and want to decide what color or colors to get.

I usually buy chartreuse although I doubt if color matters that much.

I have bought chartreuse and pink in the past. Always had better luck with the chartreuse. I saw some that came in gold and silver that were completely covered In glitter. They were really shiny. Planning on trying those next.

I seem to do better with the chartreuse than the other colors.

White or chartreuse for me, with white being my favorite. Sometimes I think it’s all in my head, but then again...? Name: IMG_1404.jpg

I like to use whatever gives it a contrast so use white and char. but looking to buy some char/glitter just for the heck of it.

I don't want them in my boat they make a mess. Stuff like that often catches more fisherman than fish.

Aww, come on coach... don’t you need a little glitter to bling up your boat?! LOL!

When fish are feeding aggressively then I agree nibbles are unnecessary. There have been times, however, when the fish were finicky, that I’ve proven to several fishing partners that either the scent, taste, or visual contrast (perhaps the combination of all) of the nibble helped produce strikes. We would be fishing with the exact same jig, line & location, so by the time I had them 10-0 they started asking me to share the nibbles. I’ve had similar experiences with spray scents too. Pass the Slab Sauce, please!

I started fishing a spawn area yesterday morning with plain jigs & missed the first 3 fish (only pulled jig tail). Pulled out the white nibbles & had my 30 fish limit in less than an hour (among 20 other boats I might add). All around me, jig fisherman were complaining that they couldn’t get the fish to bite good. I Ieft the lake while others were still launching, and had several people ask me if something was wrong. Ha, ha! Had some unbelieving looks when I told them that already had my limit...
