    Default New to crappie fishing

Howdy yall I am a vet to fishing but a newbie to the crappie world. I just can't seem to catch them consistently. I would like to know if yall could give me some advice as to the best bait and techniques to try. I just moved to Richmond, Va not to long ago and have heard that there is some great crappie fishing around. I would love to figure these tasty fish out so I can take the kids out and teach them how to do it. Thanks
