this is the first year for several that my favorite crappie lake has not been red clay muddy, Water temps are 55°, and gently climbing. The spawn is not quite happening, but finding many hanging around in 8 to12’of water,up against stumps and submerged logs.
Once again, black and chartreuse with tensil under a float has been hard on them, they still wanted the jig tipped with a crappie nibble or mealworm,I did catch my first crappie on a chartreuse and black roadrunner, first cast landed a nice one, second cast, snagged forever in Davy Jones locker.
I will be looking forward to seeing your reports and pictures for sure.
Be safe and good luck fishing
