Ah,I seem to get in on quite a few of them type of projects, but there isn't any water to fish during them......Beer and a BBQ seem to be the main attraction!
I sometimes should keep my mouth shut for sure
none the less I said sure I would love the free wood .
then I went to get said free beautiful wood off the dock
then the word "free" reminded me as it reared its ugly head ….
AINT nothing for free sir
hopefully we can finish the removal Monday
the good news is break time includes crappie lip ripping
so along with the top part of the dock extension we also left with 19 crappie
it could have been a worse day and for sure when the monster monsoon came thru at noon it was a little dicey , but in the end all turned out pretty well
L.....O......L Well at least it's some good wood.....
Now get back to work.....LOL

There were more crappie breaks than wood removal during the day. The first break stated before a screw was removed and lasted around three hours.
But it certainly turned out to be a tougher removal than expected, those screws were sunk so deep and at such unexpected angles. Wore me out just watching.
But the crappie fishing was worth it. At least to me.
It was fun ....with work attached to it.

Been there done that for sure. It could have been much worse though... at least it's not July with 100 degree temps with 100% humidity.
I have one deck to tear down and rebuild and one to repair... but I think I've waited just a tad too late in the year to get started.
Seems like a mighty easy thing to put off. At least it does look like a good turn of wood for your trouble when it was all said and done.
