on ebay they have the led kits to go under cars, its 2 tubes at 36 inches long and 2 tubes at 48 inches long, says they are waterproof, the kit is only 25 bucks, do you guys think these could be used as fishing lights? 25 bucks for 4 hmmmmm

yeah i know shipping too, but ive seen the 4 foot fishing tubes, sell for 180. and up. another member here makes them for 130. bucks. so just curious if anyone knows if they would work.

Consider this also... The 20 ma leds used in those lights are not very bright and all point in one direction only. Water resistant, and waterproof are two very different things. You could use them above the waterline attached to the side of your boat facing outward but most of the light will be reflected off the water surface. May work enough but I personally doubt it.
Just one mans opinion...
