Thats a nice haul for today, I thought the wind was blowing too hard everywhere for anyone to do any good. Congrats on the catch.
We had a very good day today at Ray Roberts. Todays trip was set up as a learning trip so we spent the better part of the day learning new areas and learning new techniques on catching crappie. After Douglas and his wife felt like they had learned enough it was time to get our THUMP ON, so we headed to a good spawning area and got on the crappie on a good spawning pattern, so we stayed with it tell we limited out with 50 nice crappie. Douglas and his wife were enjoyable to fish with and both are very nice people. The highest water temp today was 58 degrees after having a cold front come yesterday. All the fish were caught on jigs in 1 to 3 foot of water.
Douglas and his wife with todays catch.
Douglas and myself with a 1.7, 1.6, 1.5 & 1.4 pound crappie

Good luck, If they were already in good before the front It should not take long to get them going. One of these days I am going to come up and try Eufaula, It sure is a good looking lake I have past by it many times.

So how much does a day of fishing on yer boat cost? And if you're ever up here in this area, let me know... Bistineau (sp?) has some good foshing as does Cross Lake (if you can get out to'em).Originally Posted by Cliff
