I've done in numerous times, back when I was young. Kinda got away from it after a couple of instances where the egg sac wasn't fully intact & I got hot grease splattered on me when I put them in the skillet to cook. I haven't bothered with them in the last few decades, since the Consumer Warning lists them as having Mercury or PCB contamination ..... plus the fact that I never "really" thought they were "all that".
