Got a new boat after a year without one. Almost got caught doing the first of dumb moments most of us have done at least once. Post the number of the ones you've done at least once

1. Left the trolling motor down. Noticed just before I took off.
I have taken a bath from doing this in the past
2. Forgot your keys
3. Left the pug out.
4. Left a strap on
5. Didn't turn off the power and killed your battery
6. Ran out of gas
7. Lost a pole overboard
8. Lost a hat, sunglasses or jacket wide open
9. Got a ticket for anything

I've done all of the above, how about you?

No but my brother n law has and a few more

Totaled a new boat because he was scared of a bee and slammed the boat into a cyprus tree.

Multiple times - backed a boat into the lake without tying it down and watched it floating out in the middle of the lake while he smoked a cig.

Went fishing without fishing poles

Jumped a beaver dam and landed the boat on the ground

could go on and on about him but enough is enough.

My Brother in law was fishing the La. marsh all day and after three six packs and miles deep and no gps he realized he had no idea how to get home, ( all looks the same back there). He looked back and saw a few cans floating he threw overboard. He followed the trail of cans he left for an hour and found his drunk as_ back to the ramp. Classic coonass.

I've done :

#1
#3
#4 (both straps, actually)
#5
#7
#8

I've also drove all the way to the lake and found out I didn't bring my tackle box (drove back home, got it, & returned), fell out of the boat, backed the car too far on a bad ramp & had to get a tractor to pull out car/boat .... all on the same night fishing trip.

Just number 3 for me. My pug is one heck of a fishing dog too. He hates it when I leave him out of fishing trips.

I've done em all too. Ticket was close to 30 years ago. Left the plug out for almost 3 hours. It was a stop & go day looking for big BG. And I've fallen out twice once in the spring & once in the winter. Didn't Kno I was that bad of a fisherman till I had think about. I gotta be more careful.

1-4, 6.
Also, as some others
- launched the boat and watched it float away. I hooked a rope up to the bow eye, instead of hooking it to the trailer, hooked it to a cleat on the boat.
- when loading up, put the boat keys on the truck bumper. Got home, they weren't there. No key for the lock on the coupler . Had to cut the lock off.
