    Question Drain

Say all you boat lovers. I need your help.

My boat is a Grumman and my live well overflow has came up missing. Something seems to happen when the kids use my stuff.

Anyway, the part is no longer available through Grumman (out of business)and I've been all over at boat stores and hardware stores.

The overflow pipe on the old one was glued into the rubber coupling.

Here's a drawing I made if you understand it. Not much for this computer stuff.

    Thanks in advance.

    Say Marine Dr. Any Ideas?

    Well,,,, thank you.
I've been all over those sites to no avail.
If I didn't have to tear my whole boat apart to change the complete fitting it would be no problem. But thats what I'd have to do.

Looks to me like you could make that up out of stock items from Lowes or a plumbing supply house. Get a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe, then get a bushing with the female end to connect the 1/2" PVC, then the male side of the bushing should be 3/4". That end should then fit into the hole in the bottom of your livewell. You might have to have someone cut a couple o-ring grooves in it for the seal. If it does work like I said, you would then need to have someone with a lathe cut some o-ring grooves in it foe a seal.

You shure you wanna cut a hole in the floor? I thought the drain went out the transom at an angle so as to not take on water in the holding tank.

Landnsea is our supplier for them.
