I thought I'd share a short story of about my last 2-3 weeks in Florida with all you cold weather peoples! lol



February's big news was a sick Abbey, and visit from my oldest grandson. Yes, this is the older one as another from oldest daughter was born the end of December. He won't be visiting for a bit just yet, a little too young to fly. FYI, Abbey has some unknown liver/pancreas/gall bladder issue, is on a ton of meds now, and is gaining weight finally. yay



Anyway, here's grandson doing his best to gain weight too. Took a while to find his mouth, but he did! lol



He loves representing Crappie.com. Gets a lot of attention.



And he's kinda wanting to try beer! hmm. Maybe he seen some pics of Billbob. Couldn't be grandpa cause grandpa never drinks beer!



And yep, introducing him to Crappie fishing. He really seems to dig it. Gonna be a great fisherman for sure.



My FIL was in town too, and we finally caught some crappie, pulling Slab Rigs seemed to be the only thing that produced.



FIL smiling, that's rare. Well, with a nice mess of fish he's got good reason.



My mom too got into the action.



Caught some nice brim. These were huge. They fight like all heck.



Wifey caught the pretty ones.



Wifey's crazy too, she ran the Dopey Challenge at Disney. It's a 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon and whole marathon, on 4 consecutive days. Not sure why it looks like she's smiling. I'd be crying.



Oh, and wow. Never thought I'd see Manatee on my lake, Lake Griffin. There's a lock between where they are supposed to be at the North end of the lake. I guess this one snuck through. She has a calf with her. Freaked the heck outa me while I was fishing.



Above is the lock I was talking about. We also did a tour though this system. We went to a restaurant on the other side of the lock just because!



And here's what I looked like after 3 weeks of other peoples vacation (we had six northerners here plus me and wifey)! lol - It was a lot of fun while it lasted.
