    hey im new to crappie.com i live in southeast missouri. in east prairie. the weather here has been kinda up and down. i was wondering whats your opinion on when the might start spawning????

    Welcome aboard, glad your here. As for the spawn, it depends on where your at but they were starting the spawn until this weather dropped the hammer on them.

    Welcome from Tennessee: The fish on KY lake were about to spawn when the cold snap hit. I caught 50 Tuesday and the females were still full of eggs. The eggs were beginning to turn that dirty yellow color and were squishy and bloody. It should be very soon!

    It's all about the water temp. I believe once it hits the 60's it should be on. Cold snaps or unstable water temps can screw them up.

    The forecast is lookin good here in Mo next week....toward the end of the week and next weekend things should start gettin good...come over to the Mo board for more local reports.
