Does anyone have any experience with the panoptix live view transducer? Do they work good or not?

I hear lots about how good it is and have seen a few videos of it in use and it seems pretty cool to me , I know a bud of mine is about to get his rigged up in the next week or so and I suppose I will get to see it in person .
