What method of fishing are you going to be doing ? Single pole jigging...spider rigging, or long lining ?
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I have a few 12 footers that I use to spider rig with. I think they are nice rods, matter of fact I’m looking to buy at least 1 more if I can find one.

The rod is ok... The reel is unsuitable for casting, but will do the job if you are jigging. Not a bad rig to just throw round in a boat, and with the BP name exchanges when they break are not bad...
