Default How to attach ram mount to aluminum boat seat

I need to attach a ram mount for my fish finder to an aluminum boat seat. Wondering what type of screws I should use. I am able to lift the seat and get under it if it would be better to bolt it from the bottom. Any suggestions?

I would use small bolts with nuts and washers
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Stainless. Bolt, washer (fender washer?) and lock nuts. Since you have access to the underneath.

Size: 171.9 KB I bought this boat second hand . It had two places for post seats as well as a slide set up . I drilled holes in the plate where the seat peg would go and put it on with 1/4 oz. stainless bolts/nuts with a lock washer . Been over a year and solid as a rock .
