I have a Lowrance LCX-28c HD. This thing is awesome. It has a 30 Gig hard drive with preloaded lakes, roads, and costal waters. I can sit in my yard and pull up any lake that i want to and look and depth contours, river channels, and more. These units are kinda high, but it is well worth it! Check them out!

I've owned a few different makes.
As far as I'm concerned Lowrance gets my vote.
    I run the 332C.

As I said in a earlier post.
I doesn't matter what you buy. This time next year it will be obsolete.

I like the Magellan Meridan Marine because it lets me number my fish mats and give them a name and you can read them both at the same time while scrolling through them. I know you can't do that with a Garmin and I don't know about the others.
