Absolutely are. I have caught them on jigging spoons, rooster tails, panther martins and mepps. You just never know.

I have a lot of trout lures, spinners, spoons. They look like minnows so i had the idea they should catch crappies. Is I in the ballpark there?

I trout fish, and I have all that stuff too. But you’ll be far better off catching crappie....if you’re fishing cast and retrieve.....if you use jigs.

Jigging spoons, lipless crankbaits, blade baits are a few others. Truth is, when you get used to pitching a jig you’ll be able to target and catch most everything that swims at one time or another. They look like minnows, and everything eats minnows.
