Default any one fish Lake of the Ozarks??

I will be taking a couple trips to Lake of the Ozarks in February and looking for some advice on where to start to find crappie. Not looking for any honey holes. This is a different type of water than i'm used to fishing. I've been reading that dock shooting is the way to go in the winter, but any advice is appreciated!

    Thanks in advace!

If you have side imaging check under docks, that will help with finding docks that might produce. Dock shooting is hot on that lake at that time of year. With a million docks to choose from. Find the one's in deeper water for best results.

I always had great luck in the Gravois arm. Its pretty clear, lots of great docks. One of the best docks is a big restaurant dock that has a whole bunch of slips.

Thanks, I am actually staying where the little Niangua arm flows into the main Niangua arm, but I can trailer my boat to the Gravois arm.

I fish close to Larry Gale access and do pretty good on docks in that area.

I have friends that fish the area you are staying. They have good luck in the Little Niangua and Big.

I was there last March with my son, we caught crappie off the dock with our Vexilar and using Ice Fishing poles - had a blast

If you fish when its warm out, try the lighted docks at night. If you make a couple casts and no bite move on. You'll know when the are there..its madness
