Default Where's that killer deal on some spider rigging reels?

Gonna try some spider rigging this year and the current spinning reels on my long poles need to go in the trash. I know you don't need much of a reel but I'd still like to get the best quality reel for my $ in case I ever need to do a little casting with it. Going to buy between 2 and 4 reels and getting them all the same (same size, capacity, parts if ever needed) sounds better than the mixed assortment of super cheapie reels I use now.

Come on now, post up your recommendations. I'm thinking something like $20 to $25 per reel, but I'll pay less if I have to!

Best price on a quality reel out right now. Not little bitty reels but they willl work for riggging. Plus over 50.00 gets you free shipping.

Wasabi, When I first started to spider rig I used my old left handed bait caster reel’s. The drags were all worn out on them so I bought new spinning reels. They work fine but I miss the bait caster reel’s. If I had it to do over again I would buy left handed bait casting reel’s. The reel being on top and the thumb bar spool release makes it very easy to adjust depth

Dicks sporting goods has some left handed Okuma reels with six bearings for $31 each on line. try them and if you do not like them I will buy them from you

I bought a full set of Kast King Orcas a few years ago and they are doing awesome...paid like 35 each but they are top notch spinning reels with 12 bearing and heavy bail.. Very nice for Big crappie and occasional cat

Dayton - I'm giving baitcasters some thought after you posted that although am not going to put that much into them if I go that route.

Those are some good ideas folks - still haven't found that magical deal yet though...

I swapped over to bait caster for spider rigging. I'm using Shimano Bantam 50's that I've scrounged up on ebay or other places. They're all around 40 years old but I won't wear them out in my lifetime. Got about $25 each in them.

For my spinning reels on jig pulling poles, I'm using X-cat reels from Amazon. They're $12.99 2000 size I think. I've got 10 of them. Have had 4 of them for about a year. I have had issues with none of them.
