    Default Gen 1 Terrova to gen 2 Terrova upgrade?


    Has anyone upgraded from the first generation Terrova to the second gen with Bluetooth? If so is the spotlock more accurate? Some days my spotlock will be nearly perfect then other days it drifts in a 20-30’ circle. Also at times it will go haywire and start going in circles at full speed, has this been corrected on the Bluetooth models? I’m looking to possibly upgrade sometime this year if it’s worth it.

    I was fishing yesterday at the river was flowing at 185000 cubic feet per second and the wind was cross cutting at 17 mph. I wish I would have recorded how accurate it was. Very satisfied. At times it would have to go as high as 70% to hold. I would consider the DI upgrade also.

    Yes I’d definitely consider the di built in. Where are you at? Those numbers sound like the Tn river right now.

    I’ve had all 3 generations of Terrova trolling motors over the last ten years, each has been more accurate than the previous version. The only think I dislike with the newest Terrova is the brick of a Bluetooth remote that comes with it. The form factor leaves much to be desired, I much prefer the older more streamlined remote.

    I owned a 1st gen Ulterra....it was not so good. The new model Ulterra stays where I lock it. I had same issues you describe with the 1st gen model. I fish 3-6 days a week.....if weather is not horrible. I am more than satisfied. I agree with Dutch......the remote is more cumbersome than the older model.....but it is not that bad, the older one just had a better form factor.
