It Has a minn Kota 45” shaft foot control on it now which sit’s all the way down to the mount when deployed I’m wanting to upgrade with the Xi5 just worried about having to bend over so far to grab it for stowing was looking at the 54” shaft but worried the longer shaft will interfere with my rods when spider rigging any advice please let me know thank you.

I’m still on the fence about the ulterra read so many bad reviews on it Just not sure have you had any trouble with yours
no problems over 3 years. i keep it serviced per manual. lack of proper servicing can cause problems over time.

I have a 52 Terrova on my wareagle stick steer. It’s not really a problem sticking up. May have to adjust holders just a little but it has never been a big deal to me. And the added length sure makes retrieval a lot easier. I’m not the most Mobil person anymore.
I have a 52” terrova (60” factory that I cut 8” off the shaft) and the extra length doesn’t cause an issue. I keep it all the way down unless I’m in some really shallow water. The extra length is really helpful when the water gets to rolling.

The new Terrova has lift assist. I got rid of an Ulterra to get the new Terrova if that says anything.
I'm not a fan of the XI5 for one reason: the remote.
You don't have a digital read out on it basically leaving you to guess what setting and speed you are at unless looking directly at a connected fish finder.
I have had an XI5 for about 4 years and love it. They had some real problems when they first came out and needed a computer update but are great now. I troll a lot and love that it links to my Lowrance. I can tell it to run a route, set the speed control...and have both hands to fish. If you use Lowrance...its the one to buy.
And yes I would get the longer one.
