i dont have any trouble with the spool but i do sometimes have trouble with the knot sliping when i real it through the eyes when retreiving it.
Is it a problem to use a slip bobber on a spincast reel? I was wondering if the knot would be a problem on the spool...

use a small knot and u will not have no trouble with spin cast reels and slip bobbbers
Small rubber band tied in a tight not and clipped works great. If you need more depth ti slides on the line without chaffing it and once set it stays.
I fish a lot with slip bobbers. Cabelas has the best bobber stops I have found. They are color coded as to lb weight. They fit on your line and will go through the eyes of the rod without slipping and will go onto your spincast spool without hangups.
Sometimes it helps to loop your line twice through the stop knot before you cinch it down tightly. Trim tag ends. Knot does not move and easily passes through guides.
