For longlining I prefer the Roadrunner Pro 2.0 series and pour my own for dippin trees and pads and pitchin grubs around points and trees.

The one stuck in the fishes mouth.grin. I prefer a pink 1/8 Arkie head with a #2 lite wire gold Eagle Claw. But I ain't picky.

Custom poured 1/16oz ballhead jig with #2 Aberdeen hook & a Y-guard (weedless jig) for casting techniques.

Reason being : I cast around (& in) a lot of wood cover, which is why I like a weedless jig. I like the larger #2 hook in that weight jig, because I use a lot of 2"+ solid plastics, some of which are thick bodied, and the larger hook allows a wider gap between the hook point and plastic body. That insures more chance of a hook-up, IMHO. Use of the larger/thicker plastic bodies is the main reason I went to a larger hook, as I was previously sticking & catching fish on the same jig with a #4 Aberdeen hook ... but, back then I was mostly using hollow tubes and 1.5" solid body plastics.

I like the Crappie Magnet's "Double Cross" jigs as of late. They don't seem to tear up the plastic as much and the hooks are sturdy and sharp!
