    Default Early January 2019 report

The crappie are biting here in the dfw area ...but then again when are they not
I hit a few spots this week I know well and found the fish just like they were in 2018 , I think the fish probably didn't get the memo on watch out for jigs last year it seems .So I do my best to educate them on what not to eat and I keep trying and keep failing .
I am sure you know the old saying "you cant lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink" …..
Most everything I am ketchn in the lakes have been deep on the bottom with almost no exceptions and have not been in the creek yet this year . I am slicking some baits with slab sauce and using nibbles a little as well and am very fond of some new heavily garlic enhanced kinda shad profile looking plastics a bud sent me to try .
The most common factor it seems to me as of early this month is its pretty darn ccccold when I go out to try and ketch some .
below are a few photos for your visual entertainment
and to be sure ….stay tuned

Excellent report and catch. Love that chartreuse jig with monkey milk plastic combo.
