Default Bobby Garland Baby Shad Question

Hello, this might have been asked before but I'm new to the site. Can someone PM or post a video showing how to straighten the tail of a baby shad. Thanks in advance!

    They’re already straight.

A short dip in hot to boiling water will do the trick. The real trick is keeping them straight. And that means paying attention as to how they are stored.

Can you still effectively use ones with bent tails to catch crappie tho?

I don't have near the experience as most on this site I'm new to crappie fishing so it might not make any difference. But I guess its a personal preference I want them to be straight or as straight as possible.

I have never straightened one and caught plenty of fish with them.

Sometimes they will act funny with a crooked tail, either shoot off to one side when you drop them down, or spin in circles while reeling them in.

Hot water for 5 minutes then lay them out on a paper towel with the tail straight. Always works for any thickness soft plastic lure. Unless you
store them bent, they will stay straight.

Thank you very much for the hot water advise. I took a couple pics to show the results.
