Default When was the last time

That you checked behind your trolling motor prop? I had a light line get tangled a week or so back and finally remembered to check it out today. I was kinda surprised to find all this once i got the prop off. The black stuff is Spanish moss that had fallen in the water and not broken down yet, and there was two other lines besides the one I contributed. Just a reminder to go out and take a look before the wallet starts whining cuz you didn’t.

Yeah......I check mine quite a bit. Do the same on my main motor prop also. I will never understand folks who intentionally throw old line in the water.

    Regards

Check mine at least once a year. Big motor, too. And I never throw old line in the water.

I check mine 1st of every month. Both motors, I find line wrapped around troll motor a lot! Line will ruin the front bearing on TM.

Is what surprises me is how that dang stainless pin keeps getting bent. I was long lining yesterday and a catfish zigged and zagged into my TM and wrapped 15lb braid in the prop 18000 times. There was 3 different kinds of line there when I pulled it.
