    I cant get enough shallow water crappie ketchn …..
    and that's all I got to say about that ….

    Shallow water was where I found them also when the water was that temp around here. Nice fish.

    our water only gets to around high 40 degree range in these parts most years and to be sure the shad don't like it at all but the crappie seem to think its about perfect to put on the ambush .
    the shad run for warmer waters and sometimes a few degrees will make them march to the warmer area in mass ….
    that march in turn leads to the crappie march behind them ….
    dark bottom shallow water can be a good thing if you don't try to sit on top of them there ambushing crappie .
    hence the float and on the bank and cast to likely ambush locations
