    Wow!!! That's has got to be a terrible situation to find yourself in to say the least. One can't help but be filled with wonder about two things: (1) Why were they that close to the tumbling undercurrent of that dam that they should become trapped by it in the first place? and (2) Why did they not throw the anchor as far as possible downstream and hope it hooked up enough to pull themselves out of the undercurrent?

    It's sad to think of the real danger that their poor judgement and total unpreparedness caused them to be exposed to... not to mention the unnecessary cost in damage to their boat and loss of expensive fishing gear.
    Glad to hear that it had a happy ending in that no one was injured or drowned. Thanks for sharing.

    And this is why I don't mess with no dams, in a boat. I've seen two things that's scared me this year. Like things that make you think about life, this and the folks running from the fire in Cali in early November. Lord help us
