That was a good read. Thanks Cray.
Good read Charlie. Told me some of the old motor names I didn’t know were associated with OMC. Thanks.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
One of the best Little motors I had many years ago was an Evinrude 6.6 hp.
I currently have a 1961 Evinrude Fastwin 18HP on an 14' aluminum V- bottom...great combo.
Proud to have served with and supported the Units I was in: 1st IDF, 9th INF, 558th USAAG (Greece), 7th Transportation Brigade, 6th MEDSOM (Korea), III Corp, 8th IDF, 3rd Armor Div.
1980 Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 160 Evinrude 65 Triumph
I had the same rig fo 40 years. I gave it to C.C member.

If it's like mine,I'm sure he or they are enjoying it immensely...Late 50's early 60's Raceline 14' aluminum v-bottom, 1961 Evinrude Fastwin 18...I redid all the wood in it as it was all missing when I got it...

I had a 35HP 1984 Johnson and to this day, it was the best overall motor for power vs weight and ease of starting. Kept it 18 years. Should have kept it forever.
