Default Jig Color to use at night

I'm going to be jig fishing tonight in a dirty lake called thunderbird also known as dirty bird. What would be a good color to use at night. I've had great success with white during the day but have been told I should try a different color at night.

Check out the tips and techniques at crappie.com and look around. I have had good luck on black and chartreuse.

I have tried glow jigs very little even though I make them with glow heads, body, and tail or any part of them they want. The glow body I make is really cool and glows very bright. Here is a picture of a glow body I took this pic under my table holding it with one hand. I would think this jig would be very good at night since black is best at night and then glow on top of that?

Here it is in the lights on all the way...

Well I can tell you first hand that the top 2 work well under green lights as I have done that. If you are going to use minnows too, try using a 3 way swivel with a short ling and minnow hook on that and then about 18" below that tie on a jig as your weight and bait.

    Skip,
    You have a PM.
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

Do the jigs work as well as the minnows at night?Me and my buddy do some night fishing and always seem to use the minnows. We never tried the jigs at night, but were just talking about trying it.It seems like it would be easier then fussing around with bait.
Thanks Jbob8925 thanked you for this post

Most of my night fishing is in the summer and then I do use minnows and jigs at the same time. I use a 3 way swivel with a short line to a hook for the minnow and about 18" below that a 1/4 oz. Jig and it's then my weight and bait. Most of the time the bigger fish come on the jig.

For casting I've done the best on a solid black Charlie Brewer Slider.
