THey work decent if your bayliner has a rolled edge and you cant mount a trolling motor anywhere else. I had one on an old ski boat and it worked pretty good
I DON'T OWN A BASS BOAT. BUT I DO OWN A BAYLINER WHICH I LOVE! WE SEEM TO BE ABLE TO GET IN ALL THE FISHING PLACES BY SHUTTING OFF OUR MOTOR EARLY BEFORE ENTERING THE COVE AND USING OUR OARS TO GET US IN WITHOUT DISTURBING THE FISH TO MUCH. I WOULD LIKE TO GET A TROLLING MOTOR BUT NOT SURE WHERE IT COULD GO ANY IDEAS? ALSO THE LIVEWELL IS CRACKED IN MORE THAN ONE PLACE I THOUGHT ABOUT PUTTING THE SAME TYPE OF STUFF YOU WOULD USE TO SEAL AN AQUARIUM IN IT, BUT IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE OUT THERE THAT WOULD WORK BETTER I WOULD LIKE TO TRY IT. THE BOAT IS A 20.5 WITH A INBOARD MOTOR. THANKS

Think they make some sort of bracket to adapt a transom mount to that. Does your bow have a rail?
No it doesn't have a rail. I just didn't know with that big of a boat where to put one
Do you have a big enough section of your bow to mount a motor? If not, Joker's right on.

I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the state-appointed shrink is our friend.

Sounds like you have a similar set up to me. You can see the mounts for the trolling motor. It is not a perfect fishing setup but it works.
With those two you can fix anything! :DOriginally Posted by jh_blount

I would do a transom mount with a wire less remote
