Default 7 boats and 3 on the bank !

on a Monday at lunch time ? funny how word of limits of crappie so easy anyone can load up draws the masses aint it ...
I hit a spot I like and some crappie were there and my second spot I like not so much , I am sure there would be lots on spot 2 if the place wasn't seeing a hundred jigs a minute , but hey it is what it is ….
inexperienced crappie anglers are a hoot ….one guy eases up right beside me and begins casting within a foot of my float …..
tells me he did really good yesterday and kept him 5 white crappie and shows me 5 black crappie
asks me if I did any good as I am setting the hook ….
I said yeah I guess kinda but not like my last visit …..
only 15 or 20 today in an hour …
the spot is getting pummeled by the masses at this point and to be sure yielding limits to the masses and I can imagine this weekend being about a parking lot all up and down that creek .
so I ketched a few real nice fish and quite a few lil fish and even one bluegill
and 2 lil white crappie ,the first I have seen of them in there this year .
and back to work I went …..
still 2 foot under a float in the current and liking it rather jiggy
same pattern as the spring fling other than the mild current ,but with colors on the leaves
have a happy thanksgviving everyone as I think I might be busy after this post
seems there is lots going on
hope you enjoy the photos and read
p.s. YES I used my slab sauce today and YES they like it
just ask mister no bite that was right beside me …..

Enjoy the story and pics. We are heading out in 38 degree weather with the water temp at 50 degrees. Figure we will cast shallow and around lay downs. Your report has me considering a float for an alternate presentation. Thanks, Ketchn!

Nice catch. Crowds are why fishermen lie.

Good post and a bunch of nice fish. Enjoy your first thanksgiving at the new place. It seems that you too have a lot to be thankful for.
