Well since it's freezing outside again how about some of you pros share some info on good Summer crappie fishing. I've seen some bridge fishermen pull them out off the pilings, especially at night with lowered lantern lights minnow fishing deep. What are some of the patterns for summer where temperatures during the day average 94°f high and 72°f low? When water is soupy and the thermocline is in full effect.

The slabs that we are catching in spawn must be actively feeding somewhere during the day. During July here in Oklahoma it is our hottest month, and best fished with a night stalk, but what about day fishing? When you're not broadcasting light to bring in the fish, where do they go to feed?

My reasoning is that since fish consume more the hotter they get and that in July the threadfin shad reach 2"-3" there must be some monsters to be caught, from an ecological standpoint.
