Default Deer and Crappie do not mix! The big bang!

Had a tough day crappie fishing in the high wind, but caught a few. I was feeling pretty good with my catch. I was leaving the lake when a buck deer jumped in front of my car, I slammed on the brakes and missed him. I thought to myself, be careful, the rut is on. 15 minutes later, the big bang, a doe jumped in front of me, I am going 55mph now. she went over the car and hit the side of my boat, landing on my pole rack, poles went to flying, finally falling into ditch. I was covered up with traffic, so I could not stop. Damage, 2 headlights, grille and right front fender, plus 4 broken rods. I was lucky it could have been much worse.

Darn, man I hate that. We've had 2 people at work hit deer this week. Sounds bad but like you said could always be worse.

Well... not sure what rods you had but Grizzly has Ozark 14ft/16ft Rods on sale if you need some replacement trolling rods.

I put the boat up and get the rifle out, and proceed to get redemption on the deer herd! Somebody should be held hostage until the new rods are paid for and delivered!!

And Rudolph would be put on notice.....
