Fishing jigs. Dang spell check!
In New to crappie fishing and was looking for a few pointers, maybe a spot or two to get me started. I really like fishing jobs in docks and bridge columns. I learned a few things from Chris fishing your tournament on High Rock Lake.

First, welcome from Central Florida. The best I can tell you is get to know what public access you have nearby. Ketchn fishes the small places a lot and does very well, but each might take a different presentation. A few jigs, a float and some patience and you’ll be in business in no time. Keep us posted.......Skeet.

There's a guy on the NC forum that goes by confederate. He fishes lake hickory and I think he has a face book page. He also does some video and post them on you tube

It has been years since I fished Lake Hickory. Great lake to fish. I used to fish Gunpowder and Little Gunpowder more than any other place. You might check with Duke Power and see if they still produce maps of the lake. They used to. I think I might have one if you can find one.
