Default Found a few with my son yesterday on Stockton.

Had a great time yesterday out on one of the tributary rivers of Stockton Lake with my son CJ. The weather was damp, but manageable. We got out on the water around noon in our 14' flat bottom boat and trolling motor, and we immediately started catching fish on some of the 2½" go go grubs that we've been pouring. Transparent pink w/silver flakes, and a white tail seemed to be the ticket. A white pony head jig (roadrunner head) completed the setup. The water levels up in the rivers is still low, however fish could be found in deeper holes (6-8 fow), and around Rocky or log jam structure.
We ended up with 24 keepers an 1 white bass by evening.
With all that being said, the best reward for me was watching my son learn how to catch fish on tackle that we've crafted!

See y'all on the water......Fish on!!!

How is that spot where people put in by the bridge? Is the water too low to put a full size boat in this year?

The water is pretty low. I doubt you could get a bigger boat in by the Bridge. With that being said, we put our boat in on the downstream side of the bridge(around the corner), and with a four-wheel drive truck and everything being wet it was still pretty sketchy. I backed the boat and trailer as close to the water as I could get without getting stuck, and we slid the boat off of the trailer and into the water. Another guy out there fishing headed Downstream from where we put in and said it was too shallow to get through to Aldridge but we didn't go down that away to see for ourselves.
