Default Smithville Lake Fall Time Crappie Fishing

Feels like its about that time for some fall fishing! Will be giving it a try next week or so if weather allows. Normally all the big Crappie I have seen (15" or more) we're caught around this time with little fight.

I think 62-56 degrees F should be prime for them! I will report back with my findings.

    64 degrees F

Tried today because a friend wanted to go early. Only bites were from 3 baby Bass and had to leave early. Might try again next week.

At least you got some time on the water. Good luck next week.

I always went fall fishing with my friends and they know when the fish are biting. I'm not having any luck going by myself. They should be coming in towards the docks and rocks to feed before winter. I'm sure they bite towards evening during this time of year.
