    Default Numb hands

I was out the other day it was 60 degrees with a good wind. I didn't feel cold but my hands got so numb I had to stop fishing. Anyone else have this problem and what do you do about it?

It happened to me this morning! I often use the latex surgical gloves, but after all of this hot weather, it didn’t cross my mind to pack any!

See your doctor. Renaud’s Syndrome or carpal tunnel are real possibilities.

Brown jersey gloves. I wear them for ice fishing, too.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing

I carry a several packs of the "Hot Hands" pouches and used them. Works pretty good for me. Put apair in the coat pocket or sometimes in the gloves. Always where they are easily accesssible.

Fleece fingertip gloves work well for me. Some high dollar fancy materials are always just tight enough to slow the circulation and then they get really cold. If you can’t try, don’t buy. The jersey gloves work OK when they’re dry and are cheap enough to cut off a fingertip or two and not sweat it.

I've had the same problem for over 30 years. As Catfan said, it could be Raynaud's. I was diagnosed with this when I worked outside for the phone company. And it got worse after chemo damaged the nerves in my hands and feet. I've tried many, many kinds of gloves. The best thing I've come up with is toe and hand warmers along with carrying several pairs of gloves and socks. And super insulated boots for winter. I have to wear gloves even at 50*-60* sometimes.

Getting old ain't for wimps but we can always figure something out.
