got a good batch of gills and speck prior to winter returning. now just waiting for the water to warm back up. some gills had already move into warm water canals and the specks were starting their migration toward shallower water.they were still in deep water but had moved from their typical winter areas

Tried a local lake last night from shore. Nothing, nada, zip. Not even any minnows or bugs moving within casting distance. I don't know about the fish, but I NEED warmer weather/less wind. Boat's ready, so am I, just need the weather.

Still the same story where I fish . Just a few small schools roaming the weed tops . I managed a few smaller crappie (about 9 in ) on Sunday.

I got out for three hours today. First time out and did absolutely nothing.
Water temp is 44 degrees. Still pretty cool, I think.
Maybe with this sun were supposed to have the rest of the week, things will start up.

did good yesterday,,caught about 30 most of which were 6 - 8 inches, did manage to land 2 12 inchers and 6 10 inchers, fishin from shore under my favorite bridge, using 1/32oz jig pink w/white body tipped with pink berkley power wigglers,, moved at a snails pace around old bridge pilings, very close to the bottom in 15 feet of water
