    Default Best fishing umbrella

What a good umbrella to use on the water. About to buy the holder but can’t seem to find any umbrellas.

Can't vouch for what's "best", but I bought a beach umbrella from Lowe's for ~$25.00 ... 2pc metal pole with tilt adjustment ... then fabricated a PVC holder :

Note : I only paid for the joints & reducer, as the PVC poles were "free" (I know a guy ).

The umbrella is subject to being blown inside out in high wind (>15mph) but flips back into place without damage. But the umbrella cannot be blown out of the holder because I have a cotter pin inserted thru the PVC & the umbrella pole.

Thanks guys. I actually have your PVC pic saved for reference in case I decide to go that route! I’ve looked around the google pages but most all the umbrellas I’ve seen are very “beachy” with their neon rainbow colors haha. I was hoping for an outdoor brand logo or maybe a fav college team? Glad to see what a 9’ umbrella looks like on a boat. G, do you have any issues with wind?

Tie it down because they will blow away, and you wont always find it.
    Look on ebay.

Look close at lower part of pole....I have a small chain attached and snapped to a small D ring on floor.

I use a patio table umbrella. Bought an extra seat pedestal. Install pedestal into empty seat base, insert umbrella, and open it. The umbrella comes with a removeable extension, plus tilts near the top. Haven't lost it yet, however I like the snaplink/chain idea for piece of mind.

Those sportsbrellas should be going on sale soon. The tie downs on the outside part of the brella is a nice part. My cheap beach umbrellas turn inside out with wind gusts.
