    Default Night fishing Newbe

I need advice on equipment needed and basic tactics for night fishing this summer. I have never done it before, but I am going to start this summer. It seams to me a good way to beat the heat and the crowds.
    Thanks

In AZ we night fish a lot. I use 2 18" green flor submersable lights ($25 each)about 1' in the water. That brings in the baitfish, then the gamefish. Set your anchor, put out your lights and wait for the baitfish. If you don't get them up within 1/2 hour move to a different spot and try again. Fish minnows under bobbers at the edge of your light ring, say 3 or 4' down. If the bite is real lite, try a tight line. If you want to spend some bucks on your light check out thise website http://jumpingchollajigs.com/

Check this out. It's better than any advice I could give and I've been hot after them for awhile!
