That's the trees in Alabama turning colors from drying up! Them ole pine trees don't have leaves gewber!! Lol

91 deg here today and grass is growing faster/thicker then it does in the spring.Trees are green as can be but leaves are starting to fall off some of them.. supposed to cool down some later this week and next..haven't been able to get out but crappies are hitting.

Very hot here in the northeast as well. However.....the nights are somewhat cooler, allowing me to open the windows at night. And, in so doing, I'm hearing the crickets starting to sing! A sure sign the fall is on the doorstep. Trees are not turning yet. But it won't be long now.

I noticed the persimmons started falling Saturday. Acorns about 2 weeks ago. We just need a few cool nights and the fish will turn on.

Sure doesn't feel like it. August heat with a rain forecast like April here.

It can't come soon enough, it's been a brutal summer, and the fishing has been lousy, at least compared to last year.
