Interesting for sure. What keeps them so far up river? Elevation I suppose?
We came upon these young rams a couple day ago. This is on the Brownlee Reservoir pool of the Snake River on the OR/ID border. It's common to see them 20 miles upriver but in 17 years of guiding on Brownlee this is only the second time I've see them this far downriver. Fishing has been challenging this year but the crappie are good sized and we have a variety of fish. These pictures are some of our catches from this month.

Nice pictures, good catch! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome pics of fish, some Slabs in those shots for sure. The scenery looks so different than here, very little green.

great looking fish.I think those spikes will always be spikes though .
There is nothing better than a picture of a youngster holding up a slab bluegill! You need to submit that one to Slab for the Calendar.

She had quite the day. Her grandfather has fished with me several times. When he booked this trip he said " I don't care if we catch any other fish just as long as Katie catches a fish". Mission accomplished in the first 5 minutes. She caught more of these big bluegill than her mom and grandparents.
She added this beauty to her catch later in the day
