Anybody get out and try for the crappie yet? Any luck? I have tried a few hotspots that I know and they are not in yet.

No snow here in Monroe county just ALOT of rain. Maybe after this we are done and we can start the fishing. You near Syracuse right? I saw on the news this am about the snow in that area.

We're getting rain too. The forecast was for snow - they even had winter storm warnings up. It's 37 deg out right now.
I'll be happy with a couple 50 degree, sunny days. Preferably on the weekend so I can take the kids fishing.
Saturday, March 30 was a perfect day for fishing - mid 50's sunny, light breeze. I loaded the rowboat in the bed of my truck, got my son and his buddy in the in the cab, and headed out for Skaneateles Lake - then my truck broke down on the way to the lake. Last good day for fishing in two weeks and I stood around waiting for AAA tow truck while the boys found sticks and played in the mud and water in the ditch along side the road.
Now the truck's fixed and we're sitting around chomping at the bit to get out on the water - without wearing parkas. I don't know how many more times I can sort my tackle before going nuts!
Maybe THIS weekend...?
Supposed to get above 40 Saturday - without precip.... maybe I'll give it a try then. Gonna have to play it by ear.
Went out yesterday and going out later today. Rain is gone. No snow. Just waiting for the crappies to start hitting. In to the suckers right now
SNOW on the way next week fellas. East of rochester, that would mean us, lol.
Yeah I know not to happy about it. This is seriously messing up the water temps. At this rate we wont be into the crappie till june.
Well i was thinking late may.....lol.
We are supposed to get hammered over the weekend. When will it end!!!!!!
Good things come to those who bait.
