Nice job slabbandit, You don't know how much I want to be where you're at right now....I still have a week and a half before I'll be on the road for paris,Tenn.
After seeing what some friends up here were catching on them, I started using bass minnows instead of regular crappie minnows. They are tougher and more closely resemble the size that the shad are right now. Here's some we caught today. This one was caught on a Black/Chart. SuperJig with glitter on a Chartreuse Bighead Jig at about 10 feet deep.
I caught this one in less than 2 feet of water on a Blk/Chart jig.
If you are going to use bass minnows then you better be ready to catch...
5 lbs 11 oz caught and released!
