Default Neice & Nephew Starting Off Right!

The grandkids paid "Pepe" a visit this weekend. My daughter and her son came up from Maryland, so it was a very special time for us. And, of course, demanded that they go fishing with a "pro" fisherman! LOL! (They've been reading my posts weekly here!) I wasn't set up to take them out for crappie, but being as young as they are, they just wanted to "catch a fish", which they had never done before! I think I obliged them in fine fashion. Here's our youngest, Noah:

    And here's Sophie:

    And a couple of more:

They had a blast! Caught (and, of course released) a couple of dozen small 'gills, before the worms ran out. Which was about the time to quit anyway - attention spans being what they are with the kiddos. Here's a shot of my dear wife, Janice & I and those two youngin's after the morning of fishing:

I just had to share these with you fine folks. A great weekend to be sure. One I won't forget in a long time.

It's also a weekend those kids won't forget forever. Great post. That girl has a lot of her grandmothers looks in her face.

Great job with the grandkids...This time with them catching them gills will stay with them forever, and will probably turn them into fisher people as those smiles will attest to. Betcha next time they come to visit they will want a repeat performance of this visit....Congrats on a time well spent.
